This book collects nearly all of Charlotte Jung’s minimalist, concrete poems in both English and Swedish. The majority of them have been published before in chapbooks and magazines but they have never been collected in book form before.

The minimalist approach in Jung’s work is evident in her refusal to surrender the poem to a temporal structure, and her acute sense of the word – and indeed language – as visual form, situates her poetry within the realm of the concrete.

A central theme in Jung’s work is writing as a pursuit of freedom, a strive towards emancipation – a motive in the main feminist. Thus, COLLECTED is part of a feminist reclaiming of concrete poetry which has been manifested recently in the publication of anthologies, both historical and contemporary, and in individual books by feminist concrete authors.

COLLECTED contains twelve sections, two of which are written in Swedish, the rest in English.

124 pages, perfect bound, size 200x170 mm.

The first 20 copies sold come with a free leaflet, the essay The White Page by Charlotte Jung.
